Los Santos Police Department
PRELIMINARY BACKGROUND APPLICATION – Police Officer
(Rev 03/2022)

Instructions to the Applicant

The information you provide in this Preliminary Background Application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of City of Los Santos Police Officer, in accordance with San Andreas POST Commission Regulation 1953.
  • • It is your responsibility to complete this form and provide all required information.

    • This document must be filled out electronically and printed.

    • You must respond to all items and questions. If a question does not apply to you, write “DNA” (does not apply) in the space provided.

    • Send the completed form to your background investigator or the department. Do NOT send the form to POST.

(( Your application must be titled "Firstname Lastname. ))

(( Your answers should only replace the fields that say "Answer." It should not extend outside the color code box. ))

(( Do not edit the application format in any way. You may add additional fields to any area or questions or replace hyperlinks with DNA. ))

(( You may be non-select if your application is put on "Pending" status more than twice for formatting issues or missing questions. This is also the case in character. ))

(( Upon completion of this application, your character will undergo a 'psychological evaluation'. This is entirely an NPC process. It is your responsibility to inform the Personnel and Training Division if your psychological evaluation fails or shows any concerns. ))

Disqualification

There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail” background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

BOTTOM LINE: You are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and truthful responses.

  • Spoiler: show
Kendrick "Red" Mosey was born on November 16, 2000, and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. While his father was religious, Kendrick never strongly identified with any faith.

He attended Jefferson High School from 2014 to 2018, where he earned a reputation for his strong sense of justice and natural leadership. After graduating, he enrolled at Greenglass College to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. However, feeling a deep sense of duty, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2020, choosing to continue his education online while serving.

During his time in the Marines, Kendrick honed his discipline, problem-solving skills, and leadership under the guidance of his mentor, Hondo, who reinforced his strong moral compass. He served with honor, completing several years of service before making the difficult decision to leave the military. By 2024, he had finished his service and decided to focus on completing his bachelor's degree and securing a better future.

Seeking new opportunities, Kendrick left New York and moved to Los Santos, believing the city would offer him a fresh start, better education, and promising career prospects. However, he soon found himself caught between two opposing worlds—the streets, where the police are often seen as the enemy, and the call to uphold justice alongside his brothers in blue.

He believes loyalty and respect should always come before brute force, encouraging those around him to follow the same principles. Beneath his muscular frame, furrowed brow, and firm voice lies a man guided by an unshakable sense of right and wrong. His keen instincts make him quick to recognize when something is off, and his strict personal code keeps him grounded in justice and integrity. Trusted by both family and friends, he is someone people rely on to make the right choices—even when the right choice isn’t easy.

At his core, Kendrick is a protector. His devotion to those he cares about is fierce, and he takes his responsibility to help others seriously. However, this unwavering commitment sometimes turns into a savior complex—he struggles to accept that he can’t always fix what’s broken. His overprotective nature and tendency to intervene, even with the best intentions, sometimes create friction with those who don’t want his help.

Now, in 2025, Kendrick continues to navigate the fine line between his past and his future, fighting to stay true to his values in a world that constantly tests them.
