The information you provide in this Preliminary Background Application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of City of Los Santos Police Officer, in accordance with San Andreas POST Commission Regulation 1953.

Disqualification

There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail” background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

  Born and raised in Las Venturas, Luis Morillo grew up surrounded by the fast-paced lifestyle of the city. The casinos, high-stakes gamblers, and shady dealings were just part of everyday life. While many of his peers got caught up in the allure of easy money, Luis had a different mindset—he wanted to protect and serve, not get lost in the chaos.
  
  He attended Las Venturas High School from December 5, 2015, to September 15, 2020, where he quickly became known for his discipline and sense of justice. While others were drawn to trouble, Luis was the one breaking up fights, standing up for the weaker students, and ensuring fairness wherever he could. He joined the school’s criminal justice program, where he learned the basics of law enforcement and even got the chance to participate in a ride-along with the LVPD. That experience solidified his decision—he was going to be a cop.
  
  After graduating in 2020, Luis enrolled at Las Venturas Community College, majoring in Criminal Justice while working part-time as a casino security guard. The job gave him real-world experience dealing with aggressive patrons, spotting suspicious behavior, and understanding the pressure of working in high-risk environments. He learned to keep a level head in tense situations, skills that would later prove invaluable.
  
  However, Las Venturas wasn’t where he saw his future. The city was too deep in corruption, and he wanted to test himself in a place where crime was a real challenge—Los Santos. In 2023, Luis made the move, determined to join the Los Santos Police Department and make a name for himself in one of the toughest cities in San Andreas.
  
  Now, he’s training harder than ever, studying case law, improving his marksmanship, and preparing for the LSPD Academy entrance exams. Luis knows the road ahead won’t be easy, but he’s never been one to back down. He’s ready to step up, wear the badge, and bring justice to the streets of Los Santos.
