Officer-Involved Shooting at LSX Following an Illegal Firearm Discharge at Davis Residents

Los Santos: Los Santos Police Department’s (LSPD) Force Investigation Section is investigating an Officer–Involved Shooting that occurred in Los Santos International Airport.

On the evening of July 7th, 2023, at around 2230 local time, the joint efforts of the Los Santos Police Department and the Los Santos County Sheriffs Department responded to an unlawful gathering of approximately 40 people on Grove Street in the neighborhood of Davis. In an effort to provide safety to everyone present on Grove Street that night, two counter assault teams of LSPD's Metropolitan Division were also dispatched to the incident.

Approximately 20 minutes after the arrival of LSPD and LSSD personnel, a white male was seen opening fire toward the ongoing gathering before attempting to flee the scene in a grey sedan. Two LSPD's counter assault teams responded to the threat in an organized and swift manner, initiating a citywide police pursuit. The pursuit was brought to an end when the suspect collided with a building on New Empire Way in the vicinity of the Los Santos International Airport. The suspect attempted to flee once again, this time on foot when an officer involved shooting occurred and the suspect was effectively neutralized by gunfire.

The suspect was later pronounced deceased on arrival by the responding LSFD paramedics and a firearm was recovered from the suspect's body.

No officers or citizens were injured during this incident allowing them to return home safely.
