Los Santos Police Department
PRELIMINARY BACKGROUND APPLICATION – Police Service Representative 2207
(Rev 03/2022)

Instructions to the Applicant

The below online application includes the City of Los Santos Police Department Preliminary Background Application and Certification form. Please review the application thoroughly and complete all required sections as appropriate, ensuring all phone numbers and contact information are accurate. Failure to follow instructions and provide a complete application is grounds for removal from the process.
  • • It is your responsibility to complete this form and provide all the required information.

    • Following instructions given by the hiring department, type or neatly print in black ink.

    • You must respond to all items and questions. If a question does not apply to you, write "DNA" (does not apply) in the space provided for your response.

    • By submitting this application you consent to the Los Santos Police Department conducting criminal and financial background checks on you, including your past criminal charges, criminal and civil court appearances, and social media history. This data is used in compliance with data protection laws and is not stored in our databases.

(( Your application must be posted in the Civilian Employment forum. ))

(( Your application must be titled: Firstname Lastname ))

(( Your answers should only replace the fields that say "Answer." Not outside the colour code box. ))

(( Do not edit the application format in any way. You may add additional fields to any area or questions. ))

(( You may be non-select if your application requires a "Pending" status more than twice for formatting issues or missing questions. This is also the case In Character. ))

(( Upon completion of this application, your character will undergo a 'psychological evaluation'. This is entirely an NPC process. It is your responsibility to inform the Recruitment and Employment Division if your psychological evaluation fails or shows any concerns. ))
Disqualification

There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail” background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

BOTTOM LINE: You are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and truthful responses.

    • Spoiler: show
Chuck Gardell was born and raised in Montgomery, a quiet rural town in northern San Andreas.
His father, Hank Gardell, was a retired Vietnam vet turned mechanic, and his mother, Mary, was a local schoolteacher.
From a young age, Chuck learned the value of hard work, honesty, and keeping your word.
He spent most weekends in his dad’s garage, handing over wrenches and learning how to rebuild engines before he was even old enough to drive.

While his peers were getting into trouble or trying to escape the countryside, Chuck found peace in routine, purpose in
responsibility, and joy in the simple things — cold sodas on a hot day, Sunday barbecues, and the quiet hum of a diesel
      engine on the open road.

After graduating high school, Chuck joined a local freight company as a yard hand. He worked his way up, earned his CDL, and by 22, he was on the road full time.
He quickly earned a reputation as a reliable, punctual, and drama-free driver — someone who kept his logbooks clean, never touched a drop while on the job,
and looked out for fellow truckers.

At 30, after a decade of long-hauls across Bone County and Tierra Robada, Chuck moved to Los Santos to be closer to his younger sister, Dana,
a nurse raising two kids on her own in Jefferson. He took a job with a mid-sized logistics company based out of El Corona and bought a modest single-story
home in Willowfield — rough around the edges, but paid for in full.

Chuck Gardell is a man of habit. He wakes up at 5 AM, makes strong black coffee, and checks his route plan like clockwork.
He’s the kind of guy who knows the names of every clerk at the gas station and tips extra at diners. He's not flashy, not political, and keeps his opinions
to himself — but if someone’s doing wrong, Chuck won’t turn a blind eye. He’s stepped in more than once to defuse tense situations at loading docks or help
someone whose rig broke down on Route 68.

Despite the chaos of Los Santos, Chuck remains a stand-up guy — a rare breed in a city full of scams and shady deals.
He doesn’t run dirty cargo, doesn’t associate with gang members, and believes in earning every dollar the honest way.
