The information you provide in this Preliminary Background Application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of City of Los Santos Police Officer, in accordance with San Andreas POST Commission Regulation 1953.

Disqualification

There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail” background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

  Born and raised in Liberty City, Jayden Cortez grew up with a hardworking single mother who balanced multiple jobs to support their family. Despite the challenges of their rough neighborhood, Jayden was always determined to make a better life for himself.
  
  As a child, he found solace in working with cars, spending time in his uncle's garage, and developing a passion for fixing them. However, growing up in a tough environment meant that survival wasn't just about education – it was about knowing when to fight, when to walk away, and how to navigate the harsh realities of life.
  
  Jayden's natural curiosity and academic potential led him to pursue a career in medicine, and he eventually graduated with an MBBS degree. But life after school hasn’t been easy. Despite his success in becoming a doctor, the pressures of his environment led him to work a variety of jobs – from security to fighting, to dealing cars, and even working in the medical field – all to make ends meet and find stability in a world that often feels uncertain.
  
  Now, in his mid-20s, Jayden is striving to balance his dreams with the realities of the streets. His story is still unfolding, as he continues to navigate between his medical career and his other ventures.
