The Los Santos Police Department has announced the successful completion of a raid targeting a local street gang, resulting in a substantial seizure of illegal firearms and protective gear. The operation, carried out by the Victoria Area Detective Division with assistance from the Metropolitan Division, has been a significant blow to street gangs and has aimed to reduce the circulation of illegal firearms in Los Santos.

As a result, Victoria Area Detectives seized:
  • 130 handguns of various calibers and models;
  • 20 pump-action shotguns;
  • 22 military-grade assault rifles, and;
  • Numerous kevlar vests.
This seizure represents a notable step in ongoing efforts to address gang-related crime in South Los Santos. It is part of a larger, ongoing operation targeting numerous street gangs across Los Santos, with the objective of dismantling criminal networks and combatting the increasing amount of gang-related shootings and incidents.

“Last night, the Los Santos Police Department’s Victoria Area Detectives, alongside our Special Weapons and Tactics team successfully secured 183 illegal articles, including rifles, shotguns, handguns, and kevlar vests, removing a significant threat from our streets and preventing these dangerous weapons from falling into the wrong hands." said Commander McNamara of the Detective Bureau.

"This operation, conducted by our Victoria Area Detectives, was the result of dedicated investigative work, hours of surveillance, and the tireless efforts of our detectives. Thanks to their vigilance, coordination, and decisive action, a major weapons cache was intercepted, and multiple individuals involved in illegal arms trafficking were taken into custody. The LSPD remains steadfast in its mission to combat violent crime and protect our communities. Illegal firearms fuel criminal activity and put innocent lives at risk, and we will continue to pursue those who seek to endanger the safety of our city.”
