Los Santos: In a coordinated effort to combat street gangs and enhance public safety, the Los Santos Police Department successfully executed search warrants on eight properties associated with known gang members in the late hours of January 11th. This operation was the culmination of an extensive investigation aimed at disrupting criminal activity in the community of Ganton.
The operation involved collaboration between the Gang & Narcotics Division and the Metropolitan Division, assisted by officers from the Harbor Patrol Division. Teams of detectives and SWAT officers conducted the search warrants at various locations throughout the city, seizing firearms, illegal narcotics, and other contraband. Several individuals were taken into custody and are facing charges related to weapons possession, drug trafficking, and other criminal offenses.
Key outcomes of the operation:
- Recovery of four firearms, including shotguns and submachine guns;
- Seizure of 220 grams of illegal narcotics, with an estimated value of $45,000;
- Arrest of three individuals with gang affiliations, in relation to the search warrants.
The investigation and operation were designed to address a rise in gang-related incidents in Ganton in recent months. Intelligence gathered from surveillance efforts and ongoing investigations played a crucial role in identifying key targets.
