The information you provide in this Preliminary Background Application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of City of Los Santos Police Officer, in accordance with San Andreas POST Commission Regulation 1953.

Disqualification

There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail” background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

  Robert Massarelli grew up as a child out in Bone County before then moving to East Los Santos whilst studying in school. The son of Italian American parents, his father the reputation of a low level crook due to a job he worked at the port. Whilst Robert's father was not big time in the underworld, he had more than enough friends and meant Robert mingled with the likes of them growing up. He very quickly saw a way out of that life and instead devoted himself to studying and playing American Football at a semi professional level. Following no movement in the sport for him, he decided to apply to become a police officer to help provide for his young family, his son being two years old. Robert and his partner currently rent an apartment in East Los Santos, his partner Angela's family are successful florists in the city and Robert has taken the next step to applying for the police department, something which he has contemplated for quite some time. He has a keen interest in boxing and is known from time to time to help run classes for the underprivileged on the East side of the city. Robert has a keen interest in helping people to change their lives given the city he has grown up in and he is an advocate for providing a platform to help people change and grow in life.
  Robert's strengths and weaknesses vary, he is extremely motivated in his life to make a better life for his young family and is sometimes guilty of succumbing to pressure and hitting the bottle. Robert is extremely anti-drugs due to family upbringing and this shows in his earlier work in running gym classes for under privileged children in the city. At this current moment, Robert's number one goal is to just get into the police department and succeed with the training required to become a fully fledged police officer. Later down the line, Robert would like to potentially work within the Gangs division due to his knowledge of the city and his experience in helping out with gym classes and fundraisers across the city. He believes in second chances and believes that everybody is capable of turning their life around but is also a realist and understands that there are bad influences and circumstances which lead to these events.
