The information you provide in this Preliminary Background Application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of City of Los Santos Police Officer, in accordance with San Andreas POST Commission Regulation 1953.

Disqualification

There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail” background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

  Gerardo Aguilar. Born in Culiacan, Mexico, but moved to Los Santos at a young age due to poverty and violence levels rising in his country. They settled in East Los Santos. Gerardo was raised in a modest family, by two hardworking parents. His mother worked as a bartendress down in Ganton, and his father as a security guard at Pig Pen.
  Growing up in that neighborhood was challenging. Despite this, Gerardo learned the importance of integrity early in life. In school, he was known for liking books, and as a thoughtful kid. He loved learning new things. His desire for learning was noticed by his teachers, who often admired his discipline, critical thinking and his connection with the other kids.
  After he succeeded in high school, and earning his diploma, his family faced some financial obstacles. But they never stopped supporting Gerardo, doing all they could to acquire a better education for him. To help with the costs Gerardo even got a job, working as security guard at a bar located in Ganton. This experience gave him a firsthand of law enforcement as he had to work alongside LSPD on some occasions.
  It was during those years when Gerardo realized what it meant for a family to uproot their life, leaving behind poverty and violence for a shot at a better opportunity. This made Gerardo eager to join the LSPD, granting him the opportunity to make a long-lasting impact on his community, for no more violence.
  Years went by as Gerardo went to attend San Andreas University. He quickly became a standout student. His professors admired his dedication and leadership qualities. In May 2025 he earned his bachelor's degree, but he was far from the finish line.
  His passion to serve hadn't faded. It had grown stronger over the years. Today Gerardo seeks to join the Los Santos Police Department, with the hope to build a safer community for all the families of Los Santos.
