The information you provide in this Preliminary Background Application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of City of Los Santos Police Officer, in accordance with San Andreas POST Commission Regulation 1953.

Disqualification

There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail” background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

Jesse Romman is a 20-year-old African-American man born and raised in the heart of Los Santos, San Andreas. From a young age, Jesse was deeply aware of the challenges his community faced — crime, inequality, and a strained relationship between law enforcement and the people. His parents, both hardworking American citizens, always emphasized the value of education, discipline, and making a difference.

Jesse completed his education through high school in Los Santos, where he stood out as a focused and determined student. He later pursued legal studies, driven by a desire to understand the system and contribute to making it better. Through his academic journey, he gained valuable knowledge in law, justice, and civil rights — which only strengthened his passion for serving the public.

Having grown up in the city, Jesse developed a strong connection to his community. He believes that real change can only come from within, and that’s what inspired him to join the Los Santos Police Department. Jesse doesn’t just want to enforce the law — he wants to be a bridge between the people and the police, to rebuild trust and serve with integrity, fairness, and courage.
