The information you provide in this Preliminary Background Application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of City of Los Santos Police Officer, in accordance with San Andreas POST Commission Regulation 1953.

Disqualification

There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail” background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

  Miya Escober was born on August 10th, 2000, in Bone County, San Andreas. She grew up in a modest, working-class family — her father worked as a mechanic at a local garage, and her mother was a teacher at the town's elementary school. Life in Bone County was quiet most days, but it wasn’t without its challenges. Miya learned to be independent early, helping out around the house and taking care of her younger brother whenever her parents were busy.
  
  She spent most of her childhood outdoors, riding bikes with the neighborhood kids, exploring the dusty trails, and learning how to stay sharp and alert in a place where not everything was always safe. These early experiences taught her common sense and gave her a calm, observant nature.
  
  After graduating high school, Miya decided to move to Los Santos for better opportunities. She enrolled at Los Santos City College and earned her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. Balancing classes and part-time jobs wasn’t easy, but she managed to stay focused and determined. Living in the city was a change from Bone County's slower pace, but Miya adapted quickly, learning to navigate the fast-moving streets and busy life of Los Santos.
  
  Today, Miya lives in a small apartment near Pershing Square. She’s built a life for herself — quiet, responsible, and steady — shaped by the values she grew up with: hard work, patience, and a strong sense of right and wrong.
