The information you provide in this Preliminary Background Application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of City of Los Santos Police Officer, in accordance with San Andreas POST Commission Regulation 1953.

Disqualification

There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail” background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

  Andrew grew up in Idlewood. He grew up in a working family. His father was a soldier, who died in a car crash when Andrew was young. Andrew's mother was a teacher at a local school. The Schmidt family was never anything special. Due to the fact that Andrew never had a father figure, he wasn't the best kid you'd see in school. He used to get into fights, stay out late and give his mother hard time any way he could.
  When Andrew graduated from high school his mother didn't have any money to send him to college. Not that Andrew was interested in that anyways. Andrew got a job as a delivery guy down at local restaurant. He didn't make much, but in comparisson to his mother's income it was quite something. Soon Andrew's mom got sick and clearly Andrews income as a delivery guy wasn't enough.
  Andrew and his mother started to pick up fights at home. Sometimes, a misplaced coffee cup was enough to start one. Andrew's mother didn't show any signs of improval, in fact the situtation got even wrose. Andrew's mother's last wish to his kid was to make their family proud. Get a "real job" and not to let the Schmidt lines end there.
