Disqualification

There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail” background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

    Axel Schneider was born and raised in the suburban neighborhoods of Los Santos. His childhood was a mix of structure and unpredictability—his father, a firefighter, instilled in him a sense of duty and discipline, while his mother, a schoolteacher, nurtured his curiosity and empathy.

    Growing up, Axel witnessed firsthand the challenges his community faced, from petty crimes to moments of crisis. It wasn’t just the big incidents that left an impression on him, but the small, everyday acts of kindness and service he saw from public servants—his father included.

    After finishing high school, Axel tried different paths, working odd jobs and even dabbling in auto repair, but something always felt missing. He wanted more than a paycheck—he wanted purpose. That pull toward making a tangible difference led him to enroll in criminal justice classes at Los Santos Community College.

    For Axel, joining the LSPD isn’t about chasing glory or a badge—it’s about being someone people can rely on when things go wrong. He knows the job won’t be easy, but he’s ready to step up, just as others once did for him and his family.
