The information you provide in this Preliminary Background Application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of City of Los Santos Police Officer, in accordance with San Andreas POST Commission Regulation 1953.

Disqualification

There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail” background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

  Andrei Buru was a 7-year-old good child, growing up in a loving family with two modest yet supportive parents, along with both of his grandparents. They lived together in Romania until they moved to America when a company offered Andrei's father a good contract as an engineer. They all wanted the best for Andrei, which is why they found a good school and later a popular high school for him. He had good grades and outstanding academic results. At the age of 13, he started freestyle wrestling as a sport, doing quite well, working as much as he could, and everyone was very proud of him. After a lot of hard work, spending every day in the gym, he won many important championships and was selected to go to the Olympic center. His schedule was tough because he tried to combine the school timetable with the training program, constantly thinking about his future. He didn't know exactly what he wanted to do, as he knew that sports would not guarantee a living for the rest of his life. His wish was to become a firefighter because he was a good person, helping everyone with everything with great pleasure, but his mother was adamant that he become a lawyer. Andrei thought a lot about this because he didn't know if he liked being a lawyer, he had never considered that profession.
  
  When Andrei was 20 years old, unfortunately, his mother passed away, and his father became sick due to heart problems that started because of the situation with his mother. Andrei had to give up sports and started looking for any available jobs to support himself, his father, and his grandparents. It was really hard for him to handle everything, but he finally succeeded in everything. After finishing his studies, he tried to join the firefighter academy, where he failed, which made him really disappointed for a while. After a period in his life, he decided to fulfill his mother's wishes and tried to get into a law university in Los Santos. He managed to get in after a lot of hard work and many sleepless nights of continuous studying. After just a year in Law University, he realized that he was not really attracted to this profession at all, and that it was merely his mother’s desire, not his own. He dropped out of that program the following year and began to think daily about what career would appeal to him and what would suit him best. After not too much searching, he discovered what attracted him, feeling as if it were more the hand of destiny guiding him. Andrei had many dreams and, with great ambition and self-confidence, he tried to make them a reality. Unfortunately, he faced many failures. Due to his strong ambition, Andrei did not stop trying and refused to give up, he knew that one day he would succeed in achieving his goals and find his true purpose. A kind-hearted man with the ability to do many things, he thought that, based on his past as a competitive athlete, he would apply to the police. What motivated him greatly to choose this profession was a police operation that he found very interesting and well-managed, where officers managed to save several lives, which fascinated Andrei. This was not a lifelong dream for him, it was more of a spontaneous decision. Over time, he realized that being a police officer attracted him the most because it allowed him to do what made him happy, to save lives and help his community lead a beautiful and peaceful life.
  He knew it wouldn’t be easy to get in, but he didn’t let his past failures discourage him. Instead, he began to train hard and prepare daily, approaching the recruitment process with confidence, while continuing to live in Los Santos and striving to be a good citizen for his community.
