Mission Row — Division History

1
Introduction
The Mission Area encompasses 25.1 square miles and has an estimated population of 225,849 and is under the jurisdiction of Operations-Central Bureau.

The Mission Row Community Station is located in Downtown Los Santos. It serves the communities of Downtown & East Vinewood, Burton, Alta, Mirror Park, Pillbox Hill, Textile City, Mission Row, La Mesa, Murrieta & El Burro Heights, Strawberry, Chamberlain Hills, Davis, Rancho, Cypress Flats, Elysian Island and Harbor. After many years of wear and tear, the time came to replace the previous station where the officers operated from. The Mission Station is one of the newest stations in the LSPD history, having opened its doors in 2009 which is the year when Mission Row Division was created.

Following the Operations-Central Bureau revamp in 2009, the area absorbed parts of the geographic areas of Cypress Flats, Elysian Island and Harbor who were previously controlled by the East Los Santos and Southwest Divisions.
