Los Santos Police Department
PRELIMINARY BACKGROUND APPLICATION – Police Officer
(Rev 03/2022)

Instructions to the Applicant

The information you provide in this Preliminary Background Application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of City of Los Santos Police Officer, in accordance with San Andreas POST Commission Regulation 1953.
  • • It is your responsibility to complete this form and provide all required information.

    • This document must be filled out electronically and printed.

    • You must respond to all items and questions. If a question does not apply to you, write “DNA” (does not apply) in the space provided.

    • Send the completed form to your background investigator or the department. Do NOT send the form to POST.

(( Your application must be titled "Firstname Lastname. ))

(( Your answers should only replace the fields that say "Answer." It should not extend outside the color code box. ))

(( Do not edit the application format in any way. You may add additional fields to any area or questions or replace hyperlinks with DNA. ))

(( You may be non-select if your application is put on "Pending" status more than twice for formatting issues or missing questions. This is also the case in character. ))

(( Upon completion of this application, your character will undergo a 'psychological evaluation'. This is entirely an NPC process. It is your responsibility to inform the Personnel and Training Division if your psychological evaluation fails or shows any concerns. ))

Disqualification

There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail” background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

BOTTOM LINE: You are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and truthful responses.

Brayden Taylor Age: 33 Former USMC, Present-Day Private Investigator Residence: Los Santos Brayden Taylor grew up in the busy streets of South Los Santos and personally experienced the conflicting realities of the city. He was exposed to both the trappings of poverty and the pull of prosperity growing up in a modest area. Brayden faced obstacles, but his resolve and sense of justice led him along a route that would influence his destiny. Brayden has always had a strong regard for law enforcement.

He wanted to become a police officer like his father, who had been one in the past. He committed himself to mental toughness and physical conditioning with unrelenting determination as he got ready for the challenging path ahead. Brayden gladly joined the United States Marine Corps, once he finished his education. His abilities and feeling of duty were further refined by the demanding training and discipline he received while serving. He developed a solid basis for his future ambitions while serving in the Navy by gaining experience in tactical operations, teamwork, and problem-solving. Brayden had to reconsider his career choice, though, after suffering an unforeseen accident while on a mission. He served in the USMC for 4 years, reaching the rank of Corporal.

He returned to Los Santos after being unable to serve in the military actively, struggling with his sense of purpose and desire to have a meaningful influence. Brayden decided to seek a profession as a private investigator because of his prior experiences and a desire for justice. He had acquired observational, resourceful, and analytical skills while serving in the United States Marine Corps, which were essential in his new position. Brayden started his own detective company, specialized in criminal investigations, finding missing people, and getting to the bottom of things in a city full of mysteries. Brayden has dealt with a variety of cases over the years, from high-profile business scandals to personal issues that have tried his mettle.

He has become a skilled investigator with a sharp eye for detail and an unyielding commitment to justice as a result of the imprints that each inquiry has left on him. He delves further into Los Santos' underworld. Brayden's continued motivation comes from his desire to provide victims with closure and punish the guilty accountable. He has learned from his experiences the value of trust, the perils of the city's criminal underbelly, and the need of tenacity. Brayden is still navigating the intricate web of crime and corruption in Los Santos today, having earned a reputation for his integrity and persistence. Brayden is determined to make a difference in the very city that he was born and raised and give back to the community that gave him a place to call home.
