It is allowed to apply for the Police recruitment drive if I'm currently applying for Sheriff Department's?

Currently doing my application, I have a few questions however. I have not touched LSRP since the SAMP days, and my Forum account is new. I have been in PD A LONG TIME AGO, so I don't know if I should do a Reinstatement or not.

Also, What is the LSPD Forum Confirmation post? I just wanna know these things before I apply so i can get everything right. Thank you.
